Five to Follow: Podcasts for Digital Bosses
Natalie Hughes spotlights the best podcasts for online entrepreneurs.
Every digital boss needs a pep talk from time to time. I get mine in the form of podcasts, which I listen to on the tube, at my desk, and when I’m feeling particularly wild, in the bath. Whether you’re a digital consultant in need of inspiration or online business owner looking to learn about Facebook ads, there’s a podcast to suit. Here are my favourite five to plug into.
Immerse yourself in Sophia Amoruso’s #GirlBoss empire on a weekly basis with this highly-subscribed podcast. The Nasty Gal founder interviews a different girl boss – often of the digital variety – in each episode, from Bumble’s Whitney Wolfe to Into the Gloss’s Emily Weiss.
Don’t miss: Emily Weiss, Founder & CEO Glossier Inc. >
Claire Pelletreau doesn’t beat around the bush. The Get Paid podcast talks frankly about the financial side of being your own boss, with expert, takeaway advice on everything from how to rebrand your business to making the most of Google Analytics.
3. My Big Idea
Powered by ASOS and hosted by Danielle Radojcin, My Big Idea spotlights entrepreneurial women. Expect a diverse and eclectic roster of interviewees, including The Bridge Co’s Katie Rose, YouTube star Fleur de Force and, erm, yours truly. #humblebrag
Don’t miss: Katie Rose - My Big Idea Ep #56
4. Being Boss
Digital bosses Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson share their – and fellow entrepreneurs’ - secrets to self-employed success in Being Boss. Insightful interviews will guide you through launch, email marketing and more.
Don’t miss: #15 - Finding Your Rat People with Paul Jarvis >
Don’t be put off by the unsexy podcast name. Amy Porterfield is the online marketing guru and her insights into Facebook ads, affiliate marketing and everything in between, are invaluable. There are episodes on mindfulness and meditation, too.
