Instagram has launched a new set of business tools.
Featuring three new options including Contact, Insights and Promote, the photo-sharing app's new toolkit aims to help businesses reach new customers and simplify how they measure their performance.
In a recent blog post, Instagram explained "With so many companies using Instagram, and many people on the platform interacting with them, there was a desire from our business community to do more. So we listened!
After hundreds of interviews with businesses, three key needs became clear—stand out, get insights and find new customers. With these insights in mind, we set out to make Instagram work even better for businesses."
While "contact" will allow would-be customers to text, phone or email, brands via a single button at the top of their profile. Insights will provide companies with easy-to-understand information about audience behaviour, which should help them to produce relevant and timely content.
Finally, "Promote" will give businesses the ability to promote top-performing posts as adverts in order to reach more customers.
